The Saudi Red Crescent Society will observe today the Red Cross and Red Crescent International Day. Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, the President of the Saudi Red Crescent Society, said the society has selected this year the topic of awareness as a target in the first aid work. He noted that the society is keen on community awareness about the importance of the humanitarian work being carried out by the society. He pointed out that the society, through its website www.call997.com, will work to spread first aid culture and how to treat patients and injured people at the incident's site. Prince Faisal they have prepared a national awareness campaign through organizing lectures on first aid. “We have established an integrated awareness administration for participation in all local and international occasions,” he said. Prince Faisal said the society has improved its services in recent years. He expressed appreciation for the support extended by the Saudi government to the society.
