FTC Lacoste teams make their mark

FTC Lacoste teams made their mark at the tennis courts of Albilad Hotel.
FTC Lacoste-1, scored a fine win over Smash Magic.
The game started with Lito Mosquera and Rill Macapagal of Lacoste facing Ramil and Ruben Alzate of Smash Magic. Lito won the toss and decided to serve first.
Lito and Rill slowly controlled the game and led 4-1. But their rivals change their strategy and leveled the score at 4-4. The tense game resulted into a tiebreak. Lito and Rill fought hard and won the game at 8-6 for FTC Lacoste-1.
The next singles event was then played between Yousef Tharwaf of Lacoste against Arman of Smash Magic. Yousef took a 3-1 lead.
But Arman coolly tied the score at 3-3. Using his powerful ground strokes Yousef again surfed to 7-4. Arman, however, won two points and tried to hold his serve. But Yousef finished the match at 8-6.
The third game was played by Eric Diaz and Sev Sumaya of FTC Lacoste against Amin and Ben of Smash Magic. As the players held on to their serves the score tied 4-4 by the midway.
Eric and Sev then broke Ben and then never gave any chance to their rivals to end the game at 8-5 for FTC Lacoste.
In the second singles, Zahran Khan of FTC Lacoste and James of Smash Magic fought well in the beginning, 4-4. But Zahran used his powerful serve and ground strokes to win at 8-5.
The last game was played by Gerry Nazaire and Noel De Guzman of FTC Lacoste against Lito and Joel of Smash Magic. Though Gerry and Noel took a 4-2 lead their rivals tied the score at 4-4. Gerry and Noel then took advantage on the net to win at 8-4 for FTC Lacoste which made it 5-0 over Smash Magic.
On the other court FTC Lacoste–2 prevailed over Astec for its first victory. In the first doubles Almond Panganiban and Serge Taga of FTC Lacoste-2 defeated Efren Bulatao and Tata Amor of Astec 8-6.
In the first singles, Saeed Fadel of FTC Lacoste lost to Mel Neri of Astec 8-5. After its loss in the singles Lacoste-2 regrouped and won the next three matches. Allan Basa and Loret Sanchez of FTC Lacoste-2 won over Leo Lagdameo and June Tomas of Astec 8-5.
The fourth match was declared as default (8-0) for Yul Perez of Astec for no show against Hani Abu-Ola of FTC Lacoste–2.
The last and final match was won by June Rafusan and Richard Ramirez of FTC Lacoste–2 over Nilo and Vic Alvaran of Astec 8-4.
The matches are being held daily at the tennis courts of Albilad Hotel.
The championship is conduced by ASTEC under the sponsorship of (MSC) Mohammad Al-Samman Construction, Skyfreight Forwarders and (TFC) The Filipino Channel. __
