The Cabinet on Monday congratulated Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Inspector General, on his full recovery and safe arrival in the Kingdom. The Cabinet meeting, chaired by the Crown Prince, lauded the joy and happiness expressed by the people of the Kingdom over his safe arrival in the Kingdom following his successful treatment journey. Crown Prince Sultan expressed his gratitude to King Abdullah for his care, consideration and prayers during his period of treatment and recuperation abroad, and thanked princes, scholars, ministers, the people of Saudi Arabia, and leaders of Arab and Islamic countries for their concern. He prayed to God to bestow them with good health. Dr. Khaled Bin Muhammad Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Culture and Information, said the Crown Prince praised the success of the Haj season. Dr. Al-Anqari also said the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the consultations, contacts and meetings held by the Kingdom's leadership over the previous days with some leaders of brotherly and friendly countries and their envoys. The Cabinet expressed the wish for a successful GCC summit in Kuwait, hoping it would yield “positive outcomes to advance the process of Gulf joint work to reinforce the region's security and stability and realize the aspirations of their nations.” After reviewing a Shoura Council's decision earlier this year, the Cabinet approved the Kingdom's accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty and its regulations of the World Intellectual Property Organization concluded in Washington.
