King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, will receive Crown Prince Sultan, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh late Friday. The Crown Prince has been absent from the country for more than a year for medical treatment. Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, who left for the United States on Nov. 23, 2008 and underwent medical treatments in New York, is convalescing in his palace in Agadir, Morocco. Prince Sultan has successfully completed his treatment and he is in good health, an SPA statement said Wednesday. Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh, who has accompanied Prince Sultan throughout his medical treatment will also be arriving with him. Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, will hold a reception ceremony for Prince Sultan on Sunday. Prince Naif spoke on Thursday of Crown Prince Sultan's continued work on affairs of state during his treatment and convalescence abroad. “The Crown Prince throughout his time away was with his home nation, giving his voice, and through his readings and writings, on all matters of the country, and was in constant communication with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and all officials involved in matters of state affairs,” Prince Naif told Saudi Television. Prince Naif offered his thanks to Allah for bestowing on the nation the return of the Crown Prince following his recuperation and granting the country this “happy occasion.”
