Under the patronage of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Engineer Ali Al-Naimi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, launched Sunday in Rabigh city the production laboratories for petrochemicals and refined petroleum for Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (PetroRabigh) as part of a strategic partnership between Saudi Aramco and the Japanese Sumitomo Chemical Company. “The PetroRabigh project will add value to our hydrocarbon resource by converting it to clean and highly efficient refined products (petrochemicals),” Al-Naimi said. Abdul Aziz Al-Khayyal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PetroRabigh, said the company plays an effective role in boosting the state's economy by supporting manufacturing industries and providing promising investment opportunities.
