year-old inmate on the death row celebrated his marriage inside Abha prison along with fellow inmates, family, and friends Thursday night. A prison hall was turned into a wedding ballroom with poems recited, music played, and traditional drinks and candies offered to the guests. Hamad Al-Qahtani who was sentenced to death for a murder he committed two years ago said that he wanted to get married for the third time before he committed his crime. His two wives and seven children live with his mother in an old house with only SR800 a month from social security. Being a close friend of Al-Qahtani, the father of the 23-year-old bride did not ask for a dowry or any other marriage expenses. The couple spent their night at a special suite in the prison.
