Chief of Border Guards in the Asir region, Muhaya Al-Otaibi, offered condolences to the family of border security guard Turki Al-Qahtani who was killed in a raid on the Kingdom's southern border by infiltrators from Yemen Tuesday. The family who live in Talha village of Dhahran Al-Janoub Governorate in the Asir region said that their 25-year-old son was killed on the field of honor defending his country. Father Salem Al-Qahtani, who is over 100 years old, said, “I am so proud of my son who died fighting the enemies of our land.” The mother has yet to be told of her son's death, said 13-year-old Muhammad, Turki's brother, because of her deteriorating heart condition. Turki joined the Border Guard as a heavy-machinery driver about six months ago. Meanwhile, Minister of Health Abdullah Al-Rabeah sent his condolences to the family with the director of Jizan Health Department, Mohsin Tubaiqi who met the family at the Ahad Al-Masarha General Hospital.
