Namas Court has sentenced a Syrian dentist to two years in prison and 200 lashes of the whip for sexually harassing female patients at his clinic. The dentist, who will be deported upon completion of his sentence, was reported to the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice by two women, and investigations resulted in enough evidence for the case to be taken up by the Commission of Investigation and Prosecution who subsequently brought the charges to court. The defendant told the court that he intended to appeal the sentence.
