Cybercrime is definitely a menace. As rightly depicted in the story “Cybercrime spree hard to stop: Expert” (Oct. 13), it is nearly impossible to crackdown cyber criminals. The Internet offers such people a great hide-out to commit crimes from behind the screen. What a person will not normally do in public or in real life, he can without hesitation attempt to do it online. There have been so many cases of people being stalked and even murdered by their cyber “friends”. We definitely need more laws on the usage of this new medium of communication, which has become an indispensable part of our lives.
