The services of Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz, chief of General Intelligence, and Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Majed Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Madina Region, have been extended by four years. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, issued separate Royal Orders to that effect Monday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Both Prince Muqrin and Prince Abdul Aziz enjoy the rank of a minister. Prince Muqrin, formerly Emir of Madina was appointed head of the General Intelligence in October 2005. Born in Riyadh in 1945, Prince Muqrin started his education at the Ideal Academy in Riyadh. Prince Muqrin joined the Saudi Air Force pursuing a career at the Britain's RAF College in Cranwell, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautics in 1968. In 1970 Prince Muqrin was named Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force's 2nd Air Squadron. Muqrin had served in several positions in the Air Force from 1973 to 1977 before being appointed the Adjutant to the Director of Air Operations, and, finally, the President of Operations and Planning for the Royal Saudi Air Force. Before taking over as Emir of Madina in October 2005, Prince Abdul Aziz served as deputy emir of Qassim. __
