George Clooney and Meryl Streep will be hitting the red carpet in October to open London Film Festival with the world premiere of Fantastic Mr Fox. The film, based on Roald Dahl's classic children's book, features the voices of George and Meryl as well as Bill Murray, Michael Gambon, Willem Dafoe, Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and singer Jarvis Cocker. It was co-written by Wes Anderson, the director behind The Royal Tenenbaums and is his first animated film. He said: “Fantastic Mr Fox is a British film – based on a Roald Dahl book, set in the UK, produced in the UK – and so I am especially pleased to have been invited to the opening night movie of this year's London Film Festival.”
