Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced “Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009,” an outdoor adventure and sporting event for all ages that promotes a full scope of Middle Eastern adventure activities, with the latest trendsetting sports apparel, to a regional audience. To be held on Nov. 19-21 at Dubai Festival City, Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009 will include representatives from the UAE and International major sporting events, adventure travel operators and sporting associations. Outdoor equipment manufacturers, all-terrain vehicle producers and sports experts, including skateboarding, scuba diving and sea fishing, will all be on hand to advise and guide visitors. Leading suppliers already on board include Coleman, Hobby Centre, Malaysian Tourism Board, Salomom, Ultimate Heli and many more. “Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009 is the only complete sporting event of its kind to be held in the UAE,” said Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre. “The event will offer families, sports lovers, and outdoor adventurers an all-in-one show covering the best-in-class products and services in the market today. Firms will also be able to share their latest ideas with a captive audience of outdoor adventure enthusiasts.” An estimated 10,000 public visitors will be able to try out the newest sports equipment and even test drive the latest 4X4 SUVs on a specially designed course. Visitors can also check out the latest news on adventure travel holidays and eco-friendly pursuits or take part in a range of seminars including desert driving, outdoor cooking and water sport safety tips. Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009 is supported by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, to further position the UAE as a leading global destination for adventure tourism. “We are pleased to be in partnership with Dubai World Trade Centre in assisting with the launch of this important new initiative in the UAE.
