Every month, Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ), one of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJCSP), is creating diversified job opportunities for young males and females in different fields through several programs including direct employment with the private sector companies, training ending with employment, small project fund, productive household, work from home for females or other job creation programs. Last June, BRJ achieved a first-time record since inception in mid 2003, when 5,920 job opportunities have been created though BRJ branches throughout the Kingdom. Direct employment program created 452 jobs for males and 214 jobs for females. The program introduced young males and females to the job opportunities existing in private companies, where job created were machinery operators at Al-Fowzan Industrial Company, sales representatives at Al-Hukair, cashiers at Banda, salesmen at Baskin Robins, security guards at the Golden Crown Security Services. Job created for females were in the area of beauty centers at Oriflame, sales, tailoring and as kindergarten teachers, in training ending with employment program, BRJ created 433 job opportunities for males and 153 for females. Courses for females were in areas of secretarial works, telephone marketing at Jusoor Al-Kheir establishment, and for males in welding at the Korean company Song Shong in the Eastern Province, in addition to other opportunities. Direct employment and training ending with employment programs created a total of 1,252 job opportunities in the private sector companies. During June, BRJ made a record achievement in the area of small projects when successfully financed 644 small projects, 429 of them are for females and 215 for males. Loans ranged from SR15,000 to SR150,000. Projects included opening a pharmacy, building a soap production factory, a marble factory, launching an air conditioning units sales outlet, a dates selling outlet. For females, projects included a home appliances selling outlet, confectionery making, celebration organization, selling ladies dresses, office services for ladies. In addition, 89 young males joined taxi and truck ownership programs, and 3,305 females were financed through the productive household program. Their home projects included selling perfumes, ladies dresses, textiles, leather works, ceramic works, makeup products, foods and confectioneries. __
