Under the patronage of Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi, Minister of Labor, the Abdul Lateef Jameel Programs for Social Service will hold its annual ceremony on Sunday at the Hussein Jameel Home for Colleagues in the Abdul Lateef Jameel Company. The ceremony will include reviews of the program's accomplishments in 2008 besides the success stories of a number of male and female beneficiaries of the program for providing job opportunities being supervised by the working team of the seven “Bab Rizq Jameel” programs. These programs include direct employment, on-the-job training, small projects, productive families, public taxis and public transport, and commercial concessions, as well as the work from home program which is being supervised by the Nafeesa Shams Academy. The ceremony will also honor distinctive clients, employees and media persons and some personalities who have contributed to supporting the programs. Engineer Muhammad Abdul Lateef Jameel, head of the job opportunity creators team, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Labor for his readiness to patronize the ceremony. He lauded the role of the Ministry of Labor and the other bodies related to it, such as, the Human Resources Development Fund, labor offices, credit bank, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), and Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, among others, in upgrading and supporting the programs and encouraging those working in the field of providing job opportunities to improve their work constantly. The year 2008 witnessed a qualitative transformation in the march of “Bab Rizq Jameel” and the programs for providing job opportunities. The number of opportunities provided through all the programs reached 30,115 and the total number of job opportunities provided during the period 2003
