Former US Vice President Dick Cheney has signed a publishing deal for about $2 million to write a memoir of his life in politics. The book will be published in the spring of 2011 by Threshold Editions, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Cheney, who has appeared widely in television interviews in recent months, had been looking for a publisher for about two months, the Times said. The memoir will cover his tenure as President George W. Bush's vice president from 2001 to 2009, as well as his political service. He will also write about his private-sector experience, including a period as chief executive of Halliburton Co.
