Huzaim, supervisor of the Ministry of Health's Home Care Program, has said the program will be applied soon in major hospitals in the Kingdom. Presiding over the National Committee for Home Care's meeting here earlier this week, Al-Huzaim said the program which has recently been applied at Madina's King Fahd Hospital is considered “a qualitative leap in health services.” “The work is on to complete procedures and infrastructure of the program and prepare for its implementation in all hospitals,” he said. Al-Huzaim added that the committee – which was formed by a recent decision of Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Minister of Health, and is working as a consultative committee under the umbrella of the Health Services Council – is aimed to set quality standards for home medical care in addition to work mechanisms and training programs for home medical teams, as well as conducting an awareness program for citizens and those working in the program and studies on beneficiaries extent of satisfaction. The Home Care program is aimed at providing health care at home to those patients eligible for it.
