“We will see sport fields at girls' schools through the efforts of Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad, Minister of Education,” said Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, Monday. Prince Khaled, attending a forum on sports development at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was responding to a question from an eight-year-old girl in the audience who asked, “Why do girls' schools do not have sports fields like boys' schools?” and went on to commend the work of Prince Sultan Bin Fahd, President of Youth Welfare, in supporting the sports development strategy for the province of Makkah. Prince Sultan added that continued joint work and communications between different government bodies would lead to more positive results for youth and Saudi sport.
