The Council of Ministers ordered Monday the expansion of municipalities by dividing them into five groups listed as A,B,C,D, and H. It also ordered to convert 44 rural complexes into Group D municipalities. The Cabinet chaired by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, also postponed by a few weeks the new academic year for all students at all educational levels. The new academic year will now begin on October 3 instead of September. King Abdullah briefed the Cabinet on the outcome of his talks, consultations and meetings with leaders including his meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas which focused on the latest developments in Palestine and the efforts being made to accelerate the peace process. The King also informed the Cabinet about the messages received from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Russian President Dimitri Medvedev. In a statement to SPA, Dr. Abdul Aziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, said the Cabinet endorsed a recommendation by the Minister of Finance to issue and distribute periodical bulletins, which include judgments issued by some government agencies. In line with the recommendation, the Council of Ministers decided to publish the decisions to be issued by judiciary committees. The Legal Department has been assigned with the task of classifying the decisions and editing them so as to be published without referring to the names mentioned in the decisions. It has also assigned the IT Administration in the ministry where the committee operates with the task of establishing websites or electronic pages so as to upload all decisions. The Cabinet also gave the go-ahead for signing a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Water and Electricity in the Kingdom and the Ministry of the Environment in the Republic of Korea to cooperate in the field of water and sanitary drainage management. __
