The Saudi Savings and Credit Bank has approved the financing of 147 annual educational projects in 23 cities at a cost of SR200 million. Many of these projects are already operational. Mohammad Al-Salamah, Director of the Technical Secretariat for Early Education Projects and Childcare at the bank, revealed the funding for the projects, which were launched a year ago, and said the intention behind the scheme was to identify job vacancies for women. Al-Salamah added that the secretariat was following up cases involving women who had taken loans from the bank in order to ensure that all approved loans had been issued. “The bank has not received any complaints from any loanees,” Al-Salamah said, “meaning that all the projects are running as planned.”
