Saudis have registered more than 100 incidents of tourist and commercial fraud cases, as well as blackmail, while abroad, according to the Saudi Society for Families Abroad. Abdullah Al-Homod, chairman of the society, has warned Saudis to be careful when dealing with unknown people and to avoid suspicious restaurants, hotels and real estates offices while abroad. Al-Homod also warned them of organizers of prostitution businesses and even marriage brokers found in airports and hotels. Al-Homod said that Saudi embassies abroad have lawyers available to defend Saudis and provide any legal consultation.
