Arab and international experts will gather at the Jeddah Hilton on Sunday for the first “Thinking Forum”. Robert Schwartz, president of the National Center for Teaching Thinking in the US, is among the experts participating in the five-day forum. The forum, according to Mohammed Derweesh Salamah, secretary general of the forum, discusses modern concepts regarding thinking, promoting a culture of thinking, mobile thinking, intelligence, and scientific thinking. “The forum hopes to consolidate a scientific joint view about thinking and its skills and to distribute this culture among societies,” Salamah said. Salamah said that the latest studies emphasized the importance of thinking skills, regarded as an important point of the educational process. “The curriculums in many schools in developed countries do their best to provide opportunities for students and staff to think,” Salamah elaborated.
