Brodeur, who missed 50 games before coming back last week, stopped 30 shots to move within four wins of breaking Patrick Roy's NHL record of 551 career victories. Red Wings 5, Blues 0: At St. Louis, Chris Osgood earned his first shutout of the season as Detroit overcame an early injury to star forward Marian Hossa to beat St. Louis. Hossa, the Red Wings' leading scorer with 34 goals and 61 points in 62 games, was hospitalized for observation after slamming headfirst into the end boards early in the first period following a check by Roman Polak. He left the ice strapped to a gurney as a precaution. Tomas Kopecky had a goal and two assists, while Niklas Kronwell and Valtteri Filppula had power-play goals for the Red Wings.
