The National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) said that at least 20 percent of human rights cases have been filed by teachers complaining of lack of promotion and denial of transfer, said Meflih Al-Qahtani, chairman of NSHR. The NSHR has been working closely with the Ministry of Education to verify the legitimacy of these complaints, he said. For a case to be considered for further investigation, it needs to meet all of the Ministry of Education requirements either for promotion or transfer, the official said.
