British artist Charles Summers will be exhibiting his work in a solo show in Cornwall this October. From October 26 and October 31, 2015 a selection of his latest and most important work will be exhibited at Stuart House in Liskeard, Cornwall. “There will be a number of my latest paintings on show, which I am really excited about,” says Charles, who has been a professional artist for 40 years. “I am very interested in nature and its importance in life.” Charles, who has just sold one of his paintings for £7,000 to an American collector, and has lived and worked in Cornwall for many years. In 2012, as a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers, Charles was commissioned to make a Diamond Jubilee fan for Her Majesty The Queen. Charles is a self-taught painter obsessed by the natural world; English landscapes, the rain forests of Asia and Central and South America and, more recently, the Sahara desert.
