Moslimany, a renowned Saudi photographic artist and painter, opened her first solo fine art photography exhibition in Jeddah on Tuesday. Her two-day show was under the patronage of Jawhara Bint Muhammad Al-Angari, and she exhibited her work at her own studio on Hisham Al-Adwi street in Jeddah's Rawdah district. Hundreds of visitors frequented the expo on Tuesday and Wednesday. The expo was an open house where the visitors could ask for their one free portrait and stroll freely to see Moslimany's work. Moslimany told the Saudi Gazette she wants people to know that there's more to a picture than just clicking the shutter. There is a lot more to do after the picture is taken. “As we gave visitors a short tour of the studio, we want them to know through how many procedures and stages a portrait, film or photographic fine art has to pass before it comes out in the best possible way.” Also, water color on canvas and photographic paintings were shown. She said her studio specializes in the portrait and wedding photography. “We always try to be different by showing a unique side to people and our clients,” she said. “For professional women, there are no obstacles at all. They can overcome any difficulties if they are really competent and confident in their respective fields.” Moslimany's team consists of highly professional women who are mainly assigned to videography, photo editing and film processing. “It is all about team work,” she said. The expo showed fine art photography of Arab peoples, as well as landscapes. __
