MADINAH — Abdulghani Al-Ansari, member of the national committee for tourism and chairman of the tourism and travel committee in Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said a study is being conducted to grant the municipalities of Makkah and Madinah powers to allocate investment plots of land within the urban areas in order to construct hotels. Al-Ansari said the study entitled “Hotel investment in Makkah and Madinah – opportunities and challenges” will be referred to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs when completed.
