MAKKAH — Al-Otaibiyah branch municipality here has confiscated and destroyed more than 6.5 ton of unhygienic foodstuffs. The quantity was ceased during the municipality's crackdown on violating shops, restaurants and food stores which started on Sept. 15. Municipality's chairman Hassan Bin Saeed Hankar said the haul consisted of 3,271 kg of meat and chicken, 2,106 kg of sweets, 790 kg of cooked food, 259 kg of green salad and 3,500 liters of water. — By Badea Abu Al-Naja/SG
