RICHMOND — Police has recovered a $10,000 racing bicycle stolen from the downtown hotel at the finish line of the World Road Cycling Championships, the Richmond Police Department said Saturday. The bicycle, at first believed to belong to the Dutch team competing at this year's event in the Virginia capitol, instead is owned by US rider Evelyn Stevens, who will race for Boels Dolmans in Sunday's opening race of the event, the women's team time trials. “The stolen bicycle will race again! RPD officers recovered it an hour ago undamaged and returned it to the team,” the police announced in a Twitter posting. — AP
