TABUK/AMMAN – The Jordanian security authorities have arrested a Jordanian man, who was caught on a video clip, for insulting a Saudi woman in a taxi in Amman, Dr. Sami Al-Saleh, the Kingdom's ambassador to Jordan said. Al-Saleh added: “From the moment we saw the video clip that has been in wide circulation, we contacted the Jordanian security authorities and forwarded it to them. The case was followed up until the Jordanian security authorities managed to arrest the man, who has a previous conviction. The mission will demand the stiffest penalties against the man on charges of insulting and abusing the Saudi woman.” The Jordanian national, seen in the video, was caught disclosing his name. The man was taped insulting the Saudi woman, who did not reply to him. She stayed seated in a taxi. He kept on insulting the woman despite the attempts by the taxi driver to push him away. The taxi driver apologized to the Saudi woman.
