MAKKAH — Commanders of the Civil Defense forces, working during the Haj, have warmly welcomed the inspection tour of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier, minister of interior and chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, of Makkah and the Holy Sites to review preparations and arrangements being made to receive and serve the guests of God. They said they are happy to receive the crown prince, adding that all the units of the Civil Defense are fully prepared to protect the safety and security of the pilgrims. "The tour is within the consistent efforts of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to serve the pilgrims as one of its top priorities," said Maj. Gen. Hamad Al-Mubadal, commander of the Haj Civil Defense forces. He said the government has mobilized all human and material resources to serve the pilgrims and enable them perform the Haj rituals in ease, peace and comfort. "The tour is a good opportunity for us to brief the crown prince about our readiness and to listen to his wise guidance and directives," he added. Maj. Gen. Abdullah Bin Hamid Abu Ruhain, assistant director general of the Civil Defense for administrative and financial affairs, said the crown prince's tour is within the consistent policy of the government to leave no stone unturned for the welfare and comfort of the pilgrims. "We congratulate ourselves on this visit. We also thank the crown prince for his efforts and support to provide the Civil Defense with all the resources to facilitate its work," he said. Maj. Gen. Mastour Al-Harthy, assistant director for operations, said the crown prince has always been a role model for the serious and sincere security work. "Prince Muhammad has consolidated security all over the Kingdom particularly during the Haj," he said. Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Bin Hassan Al-Zahrani, commander of the Civil Defense forces in Arafat, said the visit would boost their morale and give them the incentive to put in more hard work. "We would like to inform the crown prince that we are quite ready for the implementation of the emergency plan aimed at preserving the safety and security of the pilgrims," he said. Maj. Gen. Ali Bin Atta Al-Otaibi, commander of the Civil Defense forces in Mina, said the tour is a solid evidence of the determination of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to provide the guests of God with consummate services that will enable them perform their Haj rites in ease and safety.
