MAKKAH — The Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has mobilized more than 1,000 women guides to serve female pilgrims at the Grand Mosque and its courtyards. Their duties include teaching pilgrims about the correct way of performing the rites of Haj and how to conduct themselves inside the Grand Mosque. They also guide the women worshippers to the designated prayer areas for them and crowd management. Fatima Al-Rashoud, director of the department for women guides at the Grand Mosque, said the guides have been assigned to perform various field duties.
