DAMMAM — More than 300,000 rotten eggs from two stores were seized by municipal inspectors. Eastern Province Municipality spokesman Mohammad Al-Safyan said they seized 940 cartons containing around 338,400 eggs. The eggs were not fit for human consumption because they had been stored and transported incorrectly. The municipality shut down the two stores and fined them a total of SR27,000. Al-Safyan said consumers should buy from reliable stores that meet the municipality's health and safety regulations. He said consumers should report any violations to the municipality by calling 940, or via WhatsApp on 0530245555.
