The White House confirmed on Thursday that US President Barack Obama will meet with Saudi Arabia's King Salman Bin Abdulaziz in Washington on Sept. 4. "The president and the king will discuss a range of issues and focus on ways to further strengthen the bilateral relationship, including counter-terrorism efforts," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters aboard Air Force One. The two leaders will discuss Yemen, Syria and steps to counter Iran's destabilizing activities in the region. The visit will mark King Salman's first official visit to the US since ascending to the throne. — Al Arabiya
