The White House confirmed, last night, the importance of (Camp David)'s summit, which will be held on May 13, 2015, between the leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States and US President Barack Obama. The White House's spokesman, Josh Earnest said, "The Summit is an opportunity for the United States and GCC's Arab States to discuss ways to strengthen our partnership and deepen our security cooperation". He further said that the summit is an opportunity to confirm the strong strategic partnership of the United States with GCC's Arab States. Earnest added, "I am confident that they will discuss the common concerns about Iran's destabilizing activities in the region, and I believe that the convening of this summit shows the common commitment to take the necessary steps to calm down tensions and stabilize the security situation in the Gulf."
