No compensation for National Day

RIYADH — There will be no holiday in compensation for the Kingdom's National Day on Sept. 23, as it falls within the Eid Al-Adha holidays this year. “The National Day holiday will not be compensated if it coincides with official holidays such as this year's Eid Al-Adha,” a spokesman for the Civil Service Ministry explained. According to the regulations, if National Day falls on a weekend – Friday or Saturday – it is compensated for with a public holiday on either the preceding Thursday or following Sunday. Eid Al-Adha holidays this year runs from Sept. 18 to 28.
