Give leftover food to the needy

With regard to the article"Distribution of leftover food mandatory" (Aug. 8), surely a lot of food is wasted daily in Saudi Arabia that can be given to the needy and poor. We should do this willingly without anyone even asking us to do so. Many charitable organizations in the West are making leftover food available to the needy. As Muslims we should show the true spirit of caring for the poor. Let us be examples to the world of everything that is good.
