JEDDAH — Jeddah Municipality has made it mandatory for all food joints and wedding halls in the city to distribute the leftover food in their facilities to the needy. Food joints have to present an agreement with charitable societies for the distribution of leftover food when submitting an application for license or the renewal of license. The disposal of surplus food unfit for human consumption should be carried out through cleaning companies.
