AL Tamimi & Company has won two awards at the prestigious World HRD Congress in Mumbai, in recognition of its ongoing work and excellence in training and employee development schemes. The awards follow a series of recent accolades for Al Tamimi, who took home five awards at the IFLR Middle East Awards and were named ‘Middle East Firm of the Year' at the Corporate Counsel Awards in May. They are testament to the high quality of work that the leadership and development team produces. Al Tamimi is the only firm in the region to have its own internal training academy, known as the Centre for Legal Training, which provides structured development opportunities for lawyers and support staff at all levels within the firm. Patrick Earl, Al Tamimi's Chief Operating Officer, said “we are very pleased with our success at the HRD Congress in Mumbai, and I am delighted that our commitment towards promoting learning and development has been recognized on an international scale. “As a firm, we have significantly invested in learning and development for all of our employees, and we have a number of schemes in place to support the personal and professional development of our lawyers and support staff. This includes our e-learning platform, which gives employees access to a wide range of materials including podcasts and interactive course materials, and our leadership academy, which looks at ways to enhance the leadership skills of talent within the firm.” The World HRD Congress is an annual awards ceremony focusing on Global Human Resource Practices, and recognizes professionals and organizations that exhibit excellence across HR practices, with a particular focus on Asia and the Middle East. — SG
