NEW DELHI - She was indeed the show-stopper. Dressed in a burgundy and gold embellished lehenga, a silk top and a gold tissue jacket, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a stunning appearance at the grand finale of India Couture Week. Five years since she last walked the ramp for Bollywood's favorite designer Manish Malhotra, the actress did the honors, once again for Manish Malhotra, who completes 25 years in the industry, NDTV reported. Notching up the glam quotient by several degrees, Ash carried off the designer's collection, titled “Empress Story,” with elan. And if there is anyone who courts the catwalk with ease, it's Ash indeed.
“Manish is one of our favorite designers. His eye for detailing, his silhouettes make him one of the best,” said the actress and added that she had not walked the ramp for five years but ‘could not refuse being here' for Manish's special day.
Come Aug. 15 and the first look of Sanjay Gupta's “Jazbaa” will be unveiled. “I had great time working with Sanjay Gupta, Irrfan Khan, Shabana ji, they're such amazing actors,” Ash said about her co-stars in the film. - Agencies
