Schools on border to reopen on schedule

RIYADH — Classes in all schools in areas along the southern borders with Yemen will resume as scheduled on Aug. 23 after the summer vacation along with educational institutions all over the Kingdom. Alternative arrangements have been made to transfer all male and female students to other schools in case of emergencies, informed sources in the Ministry of Education told Okaz/Saudi Gazette. The ministry has granted directors of education in concerned regions the authority to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of the students, including suspension of classes.
