BAD GASTEIN, Austria— Samantha Stosur rallied to defeat third-seeded Karin Knapp of Italy 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 in the final of the Gastein Ladies Sunday. It's the second title of the season and eighth overall for the 23rd-ranked Australian, who was seeded second. Stosur also won in Strasbourg in May.
The final was the second three-set match Knapp played Sunday after outlasting top-seeded Sara Errani 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-5 in a semifinal moved from Saturday because of rain.
Earlier, Knapp outlasted top-seeded Sara Errani 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-5. The all-Italian match was moved from Saturday because of rain. The second-seeded Stosur defeated Anna Karolina Schmiedlova of Slovakia in straight sets in the first semifinal.
First title win for Paire
Frenchman Benoit Paire won the first ATP Tour title of his career at the Bastad Open Sunday, defeating Spanish veteran Tommy Roberdo 7-6 (9/7), 6-3 in the final.
The victory brought the curtain down on a fine week on the claycourts for the Frenchman, ranked 62nd in the world at the start of it.
He defeated four higher-ranked players in top seed David Goffin of Belgium, Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan and defending champion Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay before seeing off Robredo.
Tomic to play Mannarino in final
Bernard Tomic of Australia defeated Michael Berrer of Germany 6-4, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3) to reach the Claro Open final for the second year in a row Saturday.
Tomic will defend his title against Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, who earned a chance to win his first ATP title by beating top-seeded Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5).
It is the second career final for the 33rd-ranked Mannarino, who this year was runner-up in Auckland.
Karlovic, ranked 23rd, served 17 aces and didn't allow a break point against Mannarino but struggled in both tiebreakers.
The second-seeded Tomic, 29th in the world, was broken in the third set but recovered to clinch the victory in the tiebreaker, giving himself a chance for his third career title.? Thiem to take on Sousa
Dominik Thiem of Austria and Joao Sousa of Portugal came from a set down to reach the Croatia Open final Saturday.
Fourth-seeded Thiem upset top-seeded Gael Monfils of France 1-6, 6-3, 6-1, and Sousa knocked out second-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Thiem recovered after a slow start to reach his second final of the year and the third in his career. He was a runner-up in Kitzbuhel last year, and won in Nice in May, also on clay.

Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine and Usrzula Radwanska of Poland will play for their first WTA singles title in the Istanbul Cup final.
The 99th-ranked Radwanska beat the 71st-ranked Tsurenko in their only previous match by retirement, in Doha, Qatar, in 2012.
Tsurenko made it to her first career final by defeating Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium 6-4, 6-2 Saturday for the first time in three meetings.
In the other semifinal, Radwanska beat Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Radwanska lost her serve five times, but had 19 chances against Rybarikova and took seven of them.
