Carla Suarez Navarro will meet Kaia Kanepi in the final of the WTA Estoril Open after they both won semifinals Friday. Estonian sixth seed Kanepi used her power game to fight past top seed Roberta Vinci 6-2, 7-5, while clay-court specialist Suarez Navarro proved too much for Italy's Karin Knapp as she waltzed through 6-4, 6-0. Kanepi's match with Vinci looked to be heading for a third set when she fell 3-5 down in the second set but she then won four games in a row to seal the victory. On the men's side, top-seeded Juan del Potro continued his impressive form with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over seventh-seeded Albert Montanes to reach the semifinals. Del Potro, who hadn't played a competitive match for five weeks before traveling to Portugal, is 25-6 this year as he prepares for the French Open. He will next face third-seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia, who beat 2010 champion Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-3. Andujar defeated Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-3, and will face Paire Saturday. Second-seeded Seppi beat eighth-seeded Gilles Muller from Luxembourg 6-4, 6-3.
