Civil Defense personnel carry a woman suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a four-story hotel at Ibrahim Al-Khalil Street in Al-Misfalah area in Makkah. Eighteen people suffered suffocation in the fire that started on the third floor of the hotel. Col. Saeed Sarhan, spokesman of Civil Defense in Makkah, said rescue teams evacuated 200 people from the hotel. Of those injured, 17 including a fire fighter were treated by Red Crescent on the spot, while one person was moved to a hospital. — SPA
