99 heroin capsules seized in Jeddah

JEDDAH — Authorities seized 99 heroin capsules and 427 grams of another illegal substance at Jeddah airport. Mohammad Al-Aqeel, King Abdulaziz International Airport Custom Control director, said there were two separate smuggling attempts.
The first attempt was by a traveler who was frisked thoroughly when he acted suspiciously. Heroin capsules were found stashed in his guts.
The capsules weighed 827 grams. The man was arrested and the capsules were seized. The second attempt was by another traveler who had the illegal substance stashed inside his luggage.
The Custom Control also arrested him and seized the substance.
