Women are created to bring up their children according to their religion, but some women find this job tough and want to take away men's rights. Men's responsibilities are to earn a living, feed their wife and children and run their house. This is a burden, not freedom. Who says that working women contribute to society? Rather they distract the attention of men by working in the same job environment. Shanze Shazif I find this outlook on working women disturbing. Do you honestly believe all working women are unable to contribute to society and their sole purpose is to distract men? I believe you're sorely mistaken. Married, but childless, I chose to work to help support my husband through school, add additional income, give me a sense of direction and purpose and to gain an education. I'm so thankful for the time I was able to work and the children I have now admire the jobs I held in the past. What about women unmarried, widowed or divorced? Have you worked a job before and was your purpose to distract men? Many women in history have added significant contributions to their roles in science, medicine, etc. I'm a stay-at-home mom now, but there is no way I could look through the lens of judgment at a working woman and assume she makes no contribution to society. Elizabeth Thuernagle People should stop assuming that female employees who work in mixed-gender environments are immoral and untrustworthy. They must also learn how to respect women for their contribution to society, and their great accomplishments rather than view them as creatures of inherent sin, wherever they go and whatever they do. Karaz Pocate Women can work, there are several Muslim countries which allow women to work in mixed-gender environments, but with strict rules and regulations. If a woman is married, then I think that it is the responsibility of her husband to cover her expenses. If she is unmarried, then her father should do so, and if she is a widow, then her guardian is responsible for her expenses. If there is no one available to cover her expenses, then the government is responsible for her, and if government is also not doing anything for her, then she has the right to go out and work. Raheel Rehman The world is mixed, and I don't see nature dividing people by gender. Women who work in mixed-gender environments are doing just that - working! Making an honest and decent living. If people want to misbehave they will do it whether they work or not. When is this mentality going to stop? Dalal Joyce
