RIYADH — A new case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) was reported by the Ministry of Health in Al-Hofouf last week. A source from the ministry reported it tested 736 samples during the past week. “The health institutes disinfection team visited public health medical staff who frequently interact with people infected with coronavirus. Some of the staff even visit patients' homes,” said the source. He added that the number of coronavirus patients who have recovered has reached 577 out of 1,039. “The ministry cooperates with various national and international bodies to ensure people's safety and health is maintained. The virus is under control and medical staff in Saudi Arabia are fully trained to deal with this illness,” said the source.
