JEDDAH – In its eighth year, the International Prize for Serving the Holy Qur'an has selected Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman as the Personality of the Year for Serving the Holy Qur'an. This prize is awarded every year by the International Commission for Memorization of the Holy Qur'an, an affiliate of the Muslim World League (MWL), to winners in 10 branches. A ceremony for honoring the winners will be held in Jeddah today (Monday) under the auspices of King Salman. The branches of the prize include the prize for the year's personality for serving the Holy Qur'an, and prizes for the best college for the Holy Qur'an, the best society for memorization of the Holy Qur'an, the best model institute for memorization of the Holy Qur'an, the best Holy Qur'an contest, the best Holy Qur'an teacher, prize for senior sheikhs for recitation of the Qur'an, the best research in teaching the Qur'an, the best Qur'anic TV program, the best Qur'anic website and the best magazine focusing on the Holy Qur'an.
