NAJRAN — The Ministry of Health is investigating the video of an elderly woman being kicked out of Najran Health Affairs' director general's office after a clip of the incident was posted on social media. Responding to news of the investigation, Director General Saleh Al-Munis said a young dentistry lab technician entered his office with her mother requesting to be transferred to another province. He said: “The technician was recently hired by us to work in Najran and wished to be transferred to Tabuk. “They had an appointment with me and I welcomed them to my office. “I listened calmly to her request and informed her transfer applications are done through the ministry's website at certain times of the year and there was nothing I could do in my power as a director general to help her.” He added the technician's mother was being uncooperative and refused to leave his office until he signed transfer papers for her daughter. “I had others who had appointments to see me. “The mother was being very rude and hitting my desk, saying she was not leaving until I signed the papers. “I had no choice but to kick her out. “She was being very rude for no justifiable reason and wasting the time of others.” Opinion on social media was divided, with some users condemning Al-Munis' actions while others said the mother's actions were uncalled for.
