An Indian expatriate worker, whose sponsor stole his passport, Iqama (residence permit) and left him homeless, has been reunited with his family in Yanbu. Muhammad Aleem Al-Deen was working in Yanbu when his employer suddenly transferred his Iqama to a man in Najran, forcing him to move there. In Najran, he was stripped of his passport and thrown onto the streets without any money or shelter. Al-Deen was left with no choice but to sue his sponsor through the Labor Office. However, his complaint met no response. Al-Deen then sought the help of the National Society for Human Rights (NHRC) in Najran. NHSR member Zaid Bin Ali Bin Showail brought the case to the attention of the Deputy Director of the Labor Office in Najran. The Labor Office then summoned Al-Deen's employer and, upon investigation, found the transfer of his sponsorship to be illegal. The Labor Office then ordered the employer to return the Iqama. __
