JEDDAH — A two-day Egyptian bazaar that showcased unique products was held at the consul general's residence last week under the auspices of Riham El-Alfy, wife of the consul general Adel. The exhibited items included cotton linen, the famous Egyptian kushari, home accessories and jalabiyah (traditional dress). The bazaar also hosted The Right to Live Association for the mentally disabled that showcased handmade products by disabled children as well as the Mawakeb Alajr Community Organization. Riham El-Alfy said the bazaar's main goal was to showcase genuine and traditional Egyptian products. She said: “The bazaar aimed to encourage Egyptians living in Jeddah who are talented in handmade products. We received a wide response to the extent that many items were sold out on the first day of the bazaar.”
